Community Wood Energy Program Continues Exploration of New Market Opportunities in Virginia

The Virginia Community Wood Energy Program has had a site visit with Halifax County Public Schools in Southside Virginia, and has begun pre-feasibility screening of their fuel oil heated buildings, including the 288,000 square foot Halifax County High, which is next up in their capital improvement plan for renovations.

Virginia Bioenergy Network receives contracts to support Virginia Department of Energy

The Center’s Virginia Bioenergy Network (VBN) has received two small contracts to provide Bioenergy support services to the Virginia Department of Mines, Minerals, and Energy. These will help to build markets for Virginia bioenergy and provide background information for the state energy plan.
